How to Help

The Capitol Region's Maritime Center - Welcome Aboard!

The Capital Region Maritime CenterLocated in Alplaus, NY, CRMC is the only nonprofit Maritime Center serving the Capital Region of New York State. It began in 1992 as a collaborative educational effort between business, government, human service and community organizations dedicated to a common purpose. Today it serves the community through its education, recreation, tourism, environmental and history programs.

The Saratoga Academy for Leadership and Maritime Programs at the Capital Region Maritime Center, a private middle school run by the Saratoga Academy for the Arts and Sciences in conjunction with CRMC, will offer hands-on, project-based instruction coupled with core curricula beginning in September 2013.

CRMC is a proud partner of the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway Coalition and the Capital Region Dragons Alive program.

CRMC is the Capital Region's only maritime-related nonprofit Center and facility.
